Samsung Galaxy S II VS iPhone 4

Samsung on Sunday confirmed that it will be showing an LTE version of the Galaxy S II smartphone, alone with an LTE Galaxy Tab 8.9, at the IFA show in Berlin this week.
The original Samsung Galaxy S II is widely considered to be the closest competitor to Apple's iPhone 4. Support for the high-speed 4G LTE network means the Galaxy S II will have an automatic leg up on the competition, running at speeds that are two to three times faster than the iPhone 4, which is a 3G device.

Apple Beats Nokia and Samsung for Q2 Worldwide Smartphone Sales

The official results are in: Apple has taken the crown as the world's largest smartphone maker for raw shipments, surpassing both Nokia and Samsung to capture 20.3 percent of all smartphone shipments worldwide. But, as CEO Steve Jobs might note, there's one more thing: Apple's also taken the crown for worldwide smartphone market share, clocking in at 18.5 percent for the second quarter of 2011.
Just how bad are the losses for Nokia? The company recorded a market share of 38.1 percent during the same time period last year. That's since shrunk to 15.2 percent, putting the handset producer in a solid third place behind Samsung's 17.5 percent smartphone market share. The loss ends Nokia's 15-year reign as the world's top smartphone vendor, according to research firm Strategy Analytics. And it's also done a number on Nokia's stock price – down 47 percent this year alone as the company struggles to compete against both iOS and Android.

Samsung has sold Five Million GALAXY S II SmartPhones

Samsung is really moving those new GALAXY S II phones. They’ve already sold 5 million of them and they aren’t even for sale in the U.S. yet.
Despite not being available for purchase in one of the most profitable markets for tech, the GALAXY S II has already generated 5 million in global sales.

The GALAXY S II is Samsung’s super thin flagship device. The high-performance device is powered by Android and comes with access to Samsung’s four entertainment portals.

Smartphones 28 % of global market this year

More than 420 million smartphones will be sold worldwide this year, and will account for 28 percent of all cellphone sales, IMS Research says.
Among the reasons for the growth, IMS says: More affordable smartphones coming on the market. By 2016, the firm expects global smartphone sales will reach 1 billion devices, largely because of more affordable, entry-level handsets.
Apple's iPhone, while not entry-level — although such a version has been bandied about — did account for 19 percent of global smartphone sales in the first quarter of this year, compared to 16 percent in the first quarter of 2010, IMS said.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Vs. iPad 3G: What's The Best choice

One of our favorite Android Honeycomb tablets is coming to Verizon July 28th, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE. This slate promises ultra-zippy downloads of 5 to 12 Mbps and 2 to 5 Mbps uploads and will come in Metallic Gray or Glossy White. Cost? $529 for the 16GB model and $629 for the 32GB version. We liked the Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab 10.1 when we reviewed it, but is this a good deal versus the 3G iPad for Verizon?
