Leaked Photo of HTC’s Upcoming Windows 7 Phone


The device is likely to be one of the smartphones that are planned for unveiling at HTC’s press event scheduled for a Sept. 1 release. The HTC Eternity, another Mango-based smartphone, is also rumored to be revealed at the event.

The rumored 3.8-inch Omega will arrive in a white/silver color combination. An aluminum body construction is also expected. The device maybe renamed as HTC Radar upon release.

The first images of HTC’s upcoming Windows 7 Mango-based smartphone, known as HTC Omega, were apparently leaked and picked up by pocketnow.com.
The device is alo rumored to arrive with an 8 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and a front-facing camera, and will be powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 SoC (likely to be single-core) and include 512MB of RAM. The device is also expected to start the era of Skype integration on Windows Phone 7 devices for video chat.

The other HTC smartphone, Eternity, is rumored to be the higher-end model with a much larger 4.7-inch AMOLED display, pocketnow.com reported.


Previously, images of HTC Android-based Holiday’s prototype were leaked. The device featured a large "CALIFORNIA" sticker on its cover or on the back, which may mean that the device will be released in various parts of the U.S. with different cases.

If the rumored specifications for Holiday are true, then the device will arrive with a 1.2GHz processor, a 4.5-inch qHD display at 960x540 pixel resolution. A "myAT&T" app in one menu suggests the smartphone will be released through AT&T.
Previous rumors said that the device will also have a 1GB RAM and an 8 MP rear and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
