Buying a 99$ TouchPad is not recommended ! Why ?

The TouchPad is dead, but Hewlett-Packard is giving it a hell of a wake. HP has slashed the price of its $399 tablet computer to $99 after killing the product on Thursday, sparking a buying frenzy.
Finally, an Apple competitor has found a price low enough to start an online shopping stampede. And why not? Sure it’s bulkier than an iPad, the battery life is relatively poor, and it’s got just one camera — instead of two, but $99 bucks seems pretty good for anything with a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon processor and an operating system with the ease of use and sophistication of WebOS.

Pre-Order for HP TouchPad 4G Available On Amazon

The 4G version of HP's TouchPad tablet is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $699.99.
The listing does not include a release date. The $700 price tag gets you a 32GB TouchPad in "gloss black" with 4G and Wi-Fi capabilities.
Reports of a 4G TouchPad for AT&T's HSPA+ network first appeared last month in a leaked product roadmap slide published by Pre Central. That document also tipped a 16GB and 32GB "white glossy" TouchPad with a more powerful processor.
HP officially released 16GB and 32GB versions of the 9.7-inch, Wi-Fi-only TouchPad running webOS on July 1. The 16GB version of the tablet is priced at $499.99, while the 32GB model carries a $599.99 sticker price with availability on HP's Web site and through reseller partners.

Compaq, Verizon Start First LTE Netbook

On Tuesday, Hewlett-Packard's Compaq division announced the first netbook to take advantage of Verizon's ultrafast LTE network.
The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr will be sold online at Verizon's online store beginning August 4 for $499.99, Verizon said. Data plans will begin at $30 per month.
The netbook includes a 10.1-inch anti-glare, 1,024-by-600 display powered by LED backlights. The tablet is also powered by Windows 7 Home Starter Edition.

HP TouchPad Gets $50 Discount

The HP TouchPad is now more affordable for those who are looking for something other than an iPad 2.
The tablet is now on sale for $449.99 and $549.99 for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively. The models previously sold for $499.99 and $599.99, respectively.
HP's "instant rebate" comes as the company's last promotion came to a close. In June, the firm announced a $50 rebate on its TouchPad through July 31. However, that deal was only available to customers that already owned a Palm Pre, Pre Plus, Pixi, or Pixi Plus. This latest offer is available to all customers.
