Leaked photos of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7

It has been widely reported that Samsung plans to unveil their next tablet called the Galaxy Tab 7.7 at IFA next week and we may have just landed the first picture of it.  While the image above may be blurry, it’s clear that this device mimics the look of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and also uses a 30-pin connector for charging.  Why we believe this is different than the 10.1 is simple – take a look at where that charging port is located.  On the Tab 10.1, the charging port is on the wide/bottom portion of the body, not on the side/small panel.  We have no way to measure the screen size, but given the eye test, it certainly looks smaller.

So what do we know about this tablet?  Not much actually.  Samsung has been rumored to be making 7″ Super AMOLED Plus displays though, so there is a chance that one of those beauties would grace the face of this new tablet.  We’ll know for sure next week when this new tablet is unveiled.
Update:  We received a second picture of the device that clearly shows off soft keys.  This puppy certainly won’t be running Honeycomb.
